Do you want to obtain a job in Japan?
Do you want to study at an undergraduate/postgraduate level at a university overseas?

This course aims to develop students’ language skills in English and Japanese and to familiarize them with the business culture of Japan. While offering intensive English and Japanese language classes, this course offers business classes in English with an emphasis on Japanese business protocols, so that students can prepare for working in Japan. The classes of this course will be divided into two levels according to students’ current English language abilities: an Advanced Class and a Foundation Class. An English language placement test will be conducted during Orientation Week of the First Semester. The result of the placement test, combined with the result of the entrance examination (written and oral English), will decide which class students will be assigned to.

Advanced Class:

A minimum score of TOEIC 500 or equivalent is required for enrolment. In order to develop students’ English language skills as well as their knowledge in business management, both English language classes and business-related classes will be taught in English.

Foundation Class:

A minimum score of TOEIC 350 or equivalent is required for enrolment. An emphasis is placed on development of the four skills in the English language (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Business-related classes will be taught in English and Japanese.

Nowadays, I believe having communication skills in one or two language may not be enough. A third language is very important as well. I believe graduating from TIBC will provide me with knowledge and also be a valuable asset for my career in the near future.
